Sorry I'm late but maybe this will help.
Anything built in Renpy or a Renpy style engine will have their saves located in [game-version]/game/saves
Just move that "saves" folder into the same spot in the folder for the new version, click "yes" if it asks to replace a file.
Chances are high it won't have a save folder yet unless you've loaded the game up but that doesn't matter.
