If you're enjoying working on a bigger project, then do that.
If you're enjoying game jams, continue to do that.
This is a healthy reminder to ask myself why I'm doing what I'm doing. If I'm working on a bigger project just because others are doing it, then I'm falling prey to social inertia rather than my own desires and aspirations.
The financial stuff is a concern, but I also have a safety net from having worked for a few years. So it should be fine to keep doing what I enjoy doing, get better, and HOPEFULLY money will come down the road when I need it. (Hopefully...)
