Thanks, we will add an outline glow to the objects that you can collect. That you can't pinpoint him is not by accident though. If the Puppetmaker is more far away, the audio spreads because that way it's harder for you. If you get nearer the audio will slowly get more stereo again and you can pinpoint him better. We implemented this because that way you will get more interactions with him, instead of avoiding the sound. 

Yeah that sounds like a good design choice, I guess it seems better if it was stereo all the time but actually in gameplay might be too easy.

We also thought about reflecting audio like in real life but that would be to much coding haha. Overall thanks for the feedback!
