If someone can come up with a suitable benchmark, sure, but I'm not aware of any. The OP points at another forum thread that highlights the issues involved in making one. Maybe porting a game like Laser Sky Zero or Attack Vector: Cybersphere to other languages could give an idea. One is sprite-based, the other uses vector graphics, so they exercise different aspects. Also, each exercises the raw speed of Basic interpretation in different ways.
