Every time I close the game, I have to restart from scratch. If I hit ESC it takes me back to the main menu and the Continue card is unlocked and works, but if I exit the application and restart it, the Continue card is once again face down and I have to start a new game. Am I missing something?

Yeah, runs don't save when you quit since the game is designed around sub-1 hour runs

I think I must be very bad at Black Jack😅

It would take me 1hr to even beat the mouse!

Cheddarousse holds at 12, so he'll never bust out but he'll also often have really pathetic hand. Moderate your aggression and he'll usually hit just under you
(Or just max your bet every round against him, since if you lose you just restart at him or rarely Albert)

The game becomes rather easy when you get Hero.

My initial strategy is to bet 5 if lose I'll double until to win back the last round.

I wonder how do Split works?

If I split, do I need all my sets to beat enemy's set?
And If some beat, some bust and draw, how would the prize work?

Been a while so I'm not entirely sure, but I think each hand is compared to the opponent's hands individually and the result is summed. One winning hand and a bust will cancel out (unless you've got a Blackjack bonus)

Also your betting strategy is known as the Martingale, it actually pairs pretty well with the Hero ability since without it it's a bit slow
