This game is everything a journalling game should be.
Games like this have to walk a fine line of having enough prompts to keep the player driven forward, while still being open enough that they aren't simply a story themselves. And Cats & Corpses walks this line beautifully.
A lot of this, I think, comes from the game having a very strong premise and really focusing on it. You died. You have a cat. Everything is laser focused on these two things, and the relationship between them, and it really works great. I also appreciate the way everything is presented. The rules as presented are clear enough and well written on their own, but the addition of a few examples throughout really pushes it from "clear enough" to immediately understandable.
Anyway, this was great and I recommend anyone considering it to give it a play.
