The ex is also being uncomfortable, they don't know how to keep some behaviors in to themselves. I think they know how to love? But don't know how to be cooperative, and be open to eachother. They didn't had that much time to talk about their feelings, just love and hangout which it looks like the mc or you hated the serious talk because they lacked the experience or does not want to deal with those kind of situations. It is close enough to not know how to love, they just didn't know what to do
You probably didn't meet some other guys who acts that way, but they are some people with these kinds of personalities (I recommend meeting people you can build with, not just chill with.) And the developer didn't show any genders in the talk. But hey, some people don't like accepting gives after those situations as it upsets them,, in their sight, it seems like you're trying to move on from the situation just like that but they want you to open up and have a talk about the problem. You never looked at the NPC's view and only looked at yours, how much of a rotten, and spoiled NPC they are, but they are sad deep inside. It's not talking shit, it's opening up on how they felt on your pattern. You never apologized in the story, you just tried giving them gifts to move on, it's like "here are (gift)s, let's move on and forget about it okay?". This couldn't be accurate to yours, but it seems like your ex wasn't prepared for any relationships. (I don't have specific details in your story but i'll try putting my opinion and thoughts) But you two must've planned dating without any deep thoughts for it, you moved for that opportunity without knowing what's going to happen and you weren't aware of your ex's actions(if you were aware, i don't know why you accepted in the first place). You could also try talking to them about it, if they can't cooperate with it, then they must fix him/her -self and you have rights to be mad, or sad, and leave.
I wouldn't,, say that immediately. But yes, there is a chance that they were the problem in their old relationship. I am not the one who would like to point out words out of the blue. Though they should think more about the others, i slightly agree with the selfish part as they did just called the NPC spoiled and rotten, not knowing why they act that way. But ofcourse, they must have this past or going through something that it made them feel this way. I will not judge, but they should know what they're saying to others.

yes they do have rightss to think of themselves first but, like, cmon they dont have to pull it out like that and make others look bad
the story showed that the mc gave gifts to forget the problems which made the ex upset, then tododeku or smt said "I mean I tried being the most loving person to her but she just kept fucking talking shit about the nice things ive gave her. Like holy shit- she's the most rotten and spoiled N.P.C ever." like they made the ex look bad and them being thoughtful WHICH IS VERY WROOONGGG. theyre playing like the victim like u are not.
