I think is more along the lines that he never confronted the fact that he has an attraction to men because he loved his wife very much and then she died, then his children left and then depression hit, he went into therapy, then focused on finding his sons, so he never had a time to stop and realise that he's actually bi(since it's most probable that he's bisexual not gay)
oh... sorry i can't i forgot about that i just got too excited in the moment what is still crazy because some of his officers try something really bad and some of them are hiding something i can't believe one of the harvesters is trying his best to become the chief of the police station by forcing some higher apps i just don't like to point names that's all that's why i get a little bit too excited and feeling nauseous in the stomach
