First: Overall Impression
I like how the title screen included all three player sprites. I found that to be cute. In the level design, many items are floating or sized up in a way where they’re very pixelated. Some of the ground tiles are dragged out to where they’re stretched, and on tiles where they tile continuously, you can see the bottom layer on the top. On some of the platforms, instead of using middle tiles, left end tiles are used. Where there is lava, there is only one tile so you can see that there’s nothing under the lava. The confiner should have been moved up to make it look cleaner. Also, the heart UI is a bit too far to the right, so it looks as if there’s a missing area for a heart. Is the game fun? Yes. I loved the level and of all the games it was the most rewarding to beat. However, the reason it was so rewarding is because there were many bugs which prevented me from immediately beating the game. If the game’s bugs were fixed, I think it would be the best game in this class.
Second: Bugs
I see a lot of bugs. First, if you walk off the edge of the level, there’s no barrier stopping your character from going off the edge. Then, it’ll bring your camera across the screen and show parts of the game I assume you’re not supposed to see. You also can play on even if you reach zero hearts. On two dirt blocks, you lose the ability to jump completely, which can be completely gamebreaking.
Third: Completion
You can win and lose at this game. The doors work, and if you get hit around four times, you lose.
