Happy to be the 20th to rate your game! :)

What I loved about it was the pixel art. Our team is not big on art either and I'm trying to learn it now and this was a great example of pixel art and 2D animation that does not require countless hours or much experience to make but still looks good.

The sound effects are okay but I think the game could really benefit from some tense action music in the background, maybe even changing based on the current player stats.

The dialogues were creative and well-written, but I'd recommend adding an option where you can skip the typing and display it all at once (maybe with space or a click), because some people don't really like waiting for the typing effect.

Overall, a consistent and fun little thing, do you plan on expanding it after the jam?

Thank you for your kind words! I'm actually not much of an artist, and a lot of the game's looks comes from the lighting. They're an easy way to make your game look great.

With lighting and bloom:

I didn't really have too much time for writing music, so I went for something ambient that the player can tune out, but I definitely agree that the game would benefit from that.

I agree about the dialogue. Currently, holding space makes the dialogue go faster, but it's probably too subtle.

Right now I don't have any plans to expand this, although I'll consider it if people are interested.

I appreciate the detailed feedback!
