Unfortunately, the engine is not designed for old saves. You will have to use the last checkpoint and replay some content. It's recommended to do this every time, because the engine is not adapted to such actions, and there is nothing you can do about it. But specially for this we made checkpoints at the beginning of each chapter - for your convenience :)
