Requirements to publish a VR game

Hi itch.io

I'm Brett Ridel, the main (and alone) developer of Sparkly Games.
I just published my first game on Steam, and I would like to publish it too on itch.io, both for future players and also for press (free for them, of course).

I'm annoyed to ask because I know it's not perfectly compatible with your principles, but I would like to distribute only Steam keys, and not an archive of the game. Indeed, my game is a VR game that need SteamVR, and the Steam API in general. If I distribute the game as an archive, users will not be able to use some features of the game, such as ranking, which is one of the core features.

My itch.io related project has been accepted, but because there is no downloadable content, no one is able to purchase it.

 Cordially,
B. Ridel

I've approved your account for Steam-key only sales.

We strongly encourage people to provide builds for their games on itch.io because most people are are buying stuff aren't coming here to buy a Steam key. Buyers are much more likely to buy directly from Steam unless you're funneling traffic here or holding some kind of promotion.

Thanks

Thank you for your help. My game is now available for purchase.

However, when I go to my profile, 0 projects are available (but the game is still visible). When I search for my game, it does not appear in the results. And one more thing, at the bottom of the game page, the "links" are as following : Games->Shooter->Free

I want to use your press access to send my game. However, I'm not sure how to do that. On the profile of the partners, I can only follow them, I don't understand how to get in touch with them.

Brett
