Quick first impression. I did the "Tragic Bride" mission without seeing the previous interactions by using the prepared save files. Overall, I like it. I'm still quite glum that you made Mila a vampire in the bad ending, I can accept that. The matchmaker was a delight. Wants to do bust for his clients, is happy to make a buck, and is amusingly dumbfounded by the situation. Mila was also a perfect perfect role model and has some motivating dialogue. And the star herself: Jessica. She was wonderfully sympathetic and beautifully drawn. Even though it did feel a bit manipulative, I couldn't help but feel for her and could sense genuine despair just before the final choice.

Critiques. Without going into greater detail about the boyfriend, the supposed abuse felt more telling than showing. It sounds like "my boyfriend is abusive... because he abused me". I know you don't want to make it too dark, but it could be a bit more clear. However, I have been going through the game again and finding the extra cutscenes with Jessica and I can say that that was abusive behavior.

Also, the deliberate pauses of dialogue with Jessica. I know that it's her thinking and assessing her feelings. However, it felt like long periods of nothing. Would recommend either shortening the pauses or have Jessica show that she's contemplating.

And one final question that I really would like an answer to. Also, [SPOILER]. I don't normally speak with NPCs very much and I didn't talk with any after the castle incident, but do the general populace know that their princess is a vampire? I would have thought that they would keep that a secret and keep her public appearances to a minimum.

Rumors tend to spread pretty quick in a town as bustling as Fallholt.
