I love games like these! My only gripes with it was the fiddly jumping onto the ladder, especially when you had to race to the navigation room. I don't know if this was an issue on my end, but there was some texture flickering on some of the ceilings. I had to restart the game because I picked up the first water tablet and it must have clipped out of the world. I picked it up and it moved into my character like it was added to my inventory, but there is no inventory. The lighting puzzle was really devious, but overall it was a fantastic experience. Keep up the great work you folks!

Thank you for trying out and reviewing my game! Regarding some of the issues you mentioned, We know about the flickering textures and the buggy ladder. About the water tablets, are you sure they didnt just spawn again at the last place you dropped them? Also we made the decision of having no inventory because we wanted the player to be only able to carry 1 object at a time.

It was the first item I picked up on the desk. I figured that about the inventory thing, it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Was there a secret with the extra keycards?

Nope they are just distractions ahah

Good sci-fi environmental puzzle game. Had fun with this one. I like how you review others so I will return to courtesy.

  • Use of Theme - 4
    • The theme of recovery/fixing the ship was present throughout the puzzles.
  • Gameplay - 4
    • I like the environmental puzzles. None are too difficult if you know what the clue is and the hint system is an excellent addition (especially in a jam) to prevent frustration. The most obtuse was the light puzzle as I didn't make the connection; however, thanks to the hint system I could get the clue and so could continue. My only issue really was the jumping and getting up that ladder from the water treatment area - it was fiddly jumping on boxes and had to be done multiple times, including a timed section.
  • Creativity - 5

    • Top marks for creating a sci-fi puzzle game in a jam themed Recovery rather than a game whose only connection to the theme is recovering some random pickups. I made a very similarly themed game (except focussed on text puzzles rather than environmental puzzles). My view is that unique puzzle games inherently need that additional creative spark to get them to work. The puzzles were all unique and made sense. If anything, I wish you had time for more puzzles + some optional multi-step puzzles.
  • Art - 4
    • Environmental storytelling/puzzles require good visual design. I think you pulled off some nice features (e.g. mood lighting) and simple 3D environments/puzzles. Good for a game jam game. Not particularly bad but also nothing particularly stands out.
  • Sound - 3
    • The sounds were adequate and non-intrusive. I don't think they distracted or added anything specifically memorable to the game.

I hope you will review my game as I am keen for your detailed thoughts.

I couldn't get past the first door lock. Seems like I was supposed to determine the code somehow, but not obvious for me. :(
Wow, really fun!

Pay close attention to the keys in that keypad. Some of them may look a bit.. greasy.

The puzzles were fun and intuitive. If this game was longer, I'd be playing this for hours :3

10/10!
