Very fun and adorable game. I love the idea of santa frightened for his life fighting snow monsters lmao. the game was a bit hard to control but a VERY enjoyable game overall with the best game style I have seen.
There will be a massive update that finishes the game. I'm hoping to release it before Christmas this year. Sorry if I was not clear when posting this devlogs
I love it, tons of fun, very speedrun able, I would love for a endless mode though I really like this game and I just think an endless mode with waves of the killer snow zombies would be awesome!! Ps I think instead of having letters in the presents possibly have the specific gun model with a name above maybe idk. PPs maybe add a health system instead of one shot although I do quite like the minecraft hardcore vibe although maybe add hearts inside of some presents as that could give some health! thanks! - cheese
We ended our recent Itch.io Holiday Pack with this game and both absolutely loved it. It was a hilarious and entertaining way to wrap up our Christmas video this year. Our gameplay of it starts around 40 minutes and 30 seconds in :)
I just released a 3 scary games video, and this was the 3rd game at 20:29! What a fun and wacky game this is. While there are some nitpicks - physics got weird sometimes and controls were a little clunky - but overall it was really fun and I liked the boss fights!
This was so cool! I loved this. I played the whole game and it was amazing!
I didn't really like the controls at first, I don't usually play top-down games so probably this is just my opinion but it was weird that "D" = going forward. Even if the camera was tilted, for me that felt weird, but like I said I usually only play first-person games so probably this is just my opinion
And also why were the guns letters? I just thought it was weird xD
Overall really nice game, loved the boss fights, the gameplay was smooth, I didn't understand why I died in some cases because there is no health bar but it is fine :)
Also, the music was soo good! I loved it and also the sound effects were really nice!
Thanks ;) Yes, controls are a bit unusual. I will work on that. Gun letters are a tribute to the old NES Contra games. But in the next update, it will be replaced with just floating weapons models because there'll be too many gun types to memorize.
This was such a dope shooter. I did not finish it due to time constraints but this totally deserves some live. Really good job. The gameplay starts at 3:00
This is a great Christmas-related game, but there are still some shortcomings. I think the difficulty of the first boss is relatively low and can be enhanced. The probability of the rocket launcher in the Christmas box can be less, otherwise it will be easy to pass the boss level. The entire game process is very smooth, but a bit short, and lacks some difficulty. I think it can add a small plot. For example, in the second level of the small town scene, a human scene attacked by a snowman can be added, and the player can choose to rescue or ignore it. And then if you rescue, you can get a new weapon or other effects. Then there are too few units of the Yeti, I think three monsters can be added.
The first is the giant Christmas tree people as elite monsters, they will hit the ground from time to time, making the player stunned to move slower, and the blood volume is very high. The Christmas tree man moves slower than the snowman.
The second type is antler monsters like Wendigo. They run very fast, but they have to stop in place and rest for a few seconds each time they run a distance.
The third type is the yeti beast that will charge the player. Their charge will push away all other enemies on the road.
I was planning to release for this holiday. But now I see that I need more time to make everything as I imagine. So don't really have an exact deadline.
Hi! Thanks! For background - create new material, then change the shader to skybox ( 6 sided or panoramic. You can add texture for it) and then replace default skybox material in Windows -> Rendering -> Lighting -> Environment. Hope it helps

while short i quite enjoyed it fun concept but it would be more ideal of an explanation for the wepons since floating letters seem like a placeholder.

Really fun shooter, just difficult enough to be enjoyable. Loved the variation of enemies, it was fun fighting the hoard.
