On Android the joystick support is very bad for now. It's a common problem with Unity.
I'll try to find time to compile SDL2 on Android, that way it can work.
how will I know when it's ready?
I can't work on that feature right now. Don't expect it before next spring because we've a lot of other features in the list.I know it's important and I'll try to do my best to improve it faster
