His gaze stayed focus on the human though, just stroking his hair and humming under his breath as he lovingly stared down at him.

So he was singing softly, trying to just heal Todoroki's cuts and scrapes as he carded his hair with one hand, the other caressing his cheek.
Pffft-, Heh. I always thought that mermaids were just kinda unable to physically use magic, due to the lack of actual needs for it.
