The monetary fee to put the game on Steam would be a terrible use of developer resources in my opinion.
you're right, i would talk about the Steam Greenlight, but i'm a few years late for that. I Don't know much about the game backend, but maybe in the future, i believe that the community can help to take the game to different plataforms.
