Dear Mysterious Stranger,

I must admit, when I received your note I was a bit hesitant to respond, but a friend of mine helped me to remember that strangers don't have to stay that way...I'd love to continue talking to you, if that is what you wish-I'm curious to get to know more about you. I wonder, what was the meaning of the black rose you gave me? It was a very nice gesture, but I do speculate over the intent behind it.

Drac let out a small... laugh? I think? Anyway, and took the Chrysanthemum along with the note back to his castle to write his own note, leaving it on the table with a yellow rose this time

Virgil came back to his shop the next day and found the rose, as well as the note. He smiled and went to read it, sitting at his table

I'm glad you responded. Nothing behind the rose. Just think it's pretty. Though I guess if it were to have a meaning it would be joy. Before you say that's not what they represent, they're actually something from a moment of joy in my life so to me that is what they mean to me. Feel free to interperet them how you like though. What about your chrysanthemum? It means delicate love.

Virgil blushed a bit at that, running a hand through his hair. He wrote out his own note, placing it down on the table alongside a lavender fawn lily before going into the woods to get more goods
