Here’s a thread to share our gear for the jam, give tips on techniques and ask for advice. I’d really love to hear what you are coming up with, or see behind the scenes photos if you want to.

I’ll start:

So I think I’m going to use color, almost cardboard, paper, maybe cutting & gluing it on a white sheet. I have basic not so good scissors. And I still have to buy some glue!

Other things I’d like to try are:

Using tape, like to create shapes, or mask pieces of a preexisting image or text.

And pop-ups, they fascinate me, although they are well above my crafting level.

CA Berlitz talked (in In The News) about using stickers, I think it’s an awesome idea, I’ll try to gather promotional stickers and use them.

I'm planning on maybe photographing miniatures and terrain I've sculpted/painted, printing the photos out in black & white, cutting them out, and "enhancing" them with markers and combining with other pictures.

Wow, this sounds like an awesome process. I’d love to see behind the scenes photos of how you do it, I mean if it’s possible.

Hey I’ve found these pup-up tutorials online super clear and easy to understand I’ve binged quite a lot of them yesterday The Pop Up Channel!!!

My early idea is doing an in-universe prop/collection of adventure hooks, setting bits, etc. in the vein of a punk zine. I'm thinking lots of old photo collage, printed text but cut out line by line and pasted on top of the pages, sharpies, duct tape, staples, etc. Nothing too fancy.

Sounds awesome! :)

I’ve been studying Pop-up mechanics for the jam this is my first pop up thingy, made on a A4 160gsm base (and with 160gsm paper) and stick glue. Not sure where I’m going with this thing though :)

More pop up experiments, a D66 table I’ve picked from the GM Tools and turned into a pop up, the design is a sloppy iteration of a Colette Fu awesome popup - Amze Emmons make me discover her work
