But thank you so freaking much! I definitely put a lot of passion into the story and its characters. I never thought people would actually like it! And heh, Don is a bad boi but a good boi at heart. He's just sick of shit and still processing the loss of his family <3 <3
And that totally makes sense. I like how you did that, losing so many people at once, it makes sense that most people would be in a shell-shocked kind of state. A sentiment shared by a few of them is that it still doesn't seem real, like they could wake up and it was all just a dream. I'm super excited to learn more about the crew (and Cooper's ducks)! Good thing no inciting incident will make them think any less of us :D ! I don't know who the shark boy is, but apparently he is a celebrity of sorts, so that will be interesting!

I thought about how people might react to it - and while I acknowledged that many people would be in a miserable and horrific state, these characters in particular have that instinct to survive. Of course, they'll break down, crash and burn later, but right now they're just kinda frozen, as you suggested! I won't tell you too much - but... I hope we're not talking about actual ducks here because that's not what I was implying lmao
