Hit: 5- Good as an early game card, as long as you can replace or upgrade it it's a stellar card 

First Aid: 5- Good as an early game card, as long as you can replace or upgrade it it's a stellar card  

Insight: 2- The reason it's two is because it's pretty useless as an early game card because knowing what the enemy will do doesn't really tell much, a better one would be knowing who the enemy will attack

Topsy-Turvy: 5- Really good, possibly even broken

Burning blood: 4- It's a 3 if it's a two step spell (Enchantment then healing) but a 4 if it increases defense and heals (For MP of course)

Iron Platelets: 3- HP is to valuable for this spell to be used, the tradeoff is to large with higher MP cards

Green's Char Art: -So all of the art for the characters is good, text portraits, sprites, the whole 9 yards, I only wish we could get some card art. That's what makes a card game for me, when I can look at the card and marvel at the sprite work and balancing that went into making it, character art is cool but I'd rather have card art.

Blue's Char Writing:

Red's Char Writing: I feel it would be cooler if red was a lot more withdrawn and kind of meaner. A bit like Crosshair from Bad Batch where he kind of tolerates those around him. Not a pride issue but a people issue.

Green's Char Writing: I don't feel like green got as many lines as the rest but what he has so far doesn't really speak to deeply into his character unless I'm missing something

White's Char Writing: A little to obvious as to the whole pride thing I would make it more subtle, make white subtly narcissistic and therefore self destructive

Overall Writing: "Can't have a war if everyone is dead" I really liked this line and the dialogue does really well for setting the stage for the world without drawn out narrations, immediate immersion

Did you enjoy the Game?

Yes,  the one thing i didn't enjoy was having the target always point to my guy when selecting a target, I would like it to point to the enemy first, and might as well have healing cards auto point to our teammates.

Should Hit and First Aid be changed to be unique for every hero?

No, sometimes the card pull will give a lot of hits or too much aide. so i wouldnt want it to be all on one or two guys.

Rate the following 1 - 5:

Hit: its good for the regular attack

First Aid: same good for healing.

Insight: Didnt see the need for it, maybe it was too early for me in the game.  But it definitely felt cool to have,.

Topsy-Turvy: Actually played the tutorial fight 4 times and didnt see this card.

Burning blood: i like the idea of it, very useful.

Iron Platelets: i saw this on the status screen, didnt know anything else about it.

Music: As far as the music, the battle music actually is sickening with headphones. it sounds great on regular speakers. the problem with it on headphones is that there's only one track going at a time at one point. it goes da- da -da -da and with all the sound cuts it gets you feeling a little sick.

Story: not everyone will shine and you cant  equally distribute text to the cast, i like it if certain characters shine at different times.

BTW I don't know how far the beta goes but after the tutorial battle, a new sequence happened and after that I couldn't play anymore. Not sure if that's a bug or the end of the beta. I had to play the tutorial battle like 6 times, it felt like a drag getting only 1 hp attacks. I love the system though.

Bugs:

- Typo: After victory against master white says "Ill" without an apostrophe

- Type: In tutorial when viewing magi's hand use of "it's" instead of "its"

- Iron Platelets card is named Burning Blood

- You can select a KOed magi to hit

- Fight music doesn't stop when you lose and go back to title screen

- Music doesn't start when you start the fight from a save

Wishes for the game:

- Easier/quicker selection of magis in combat. Maybe have them in a diamond formation where pressing an arrow key brings you to that magi's hand

- The health/hand/mana bar slider looks awesome and is super legible! But the speed of the animation gets annoying. A new player will be going through each magi's hand to read the cards and the animation took a while each time

- Put status (atk/def/threat) in the hand screen instead of separate dialogue

- Explain atk/def/threat in tutorial

- Explain burning in tutorial

- Right now in battle with the master it just says what happened (the master's atk is 5). I think it would be smoother if it said what he did and then what happened (ex: the master raised his atk to 5)

- It's weird that you never see a card drawn. When you play a card and then come back to a magi up to 4 turns later it's not obvious what the new card is. Maybe show a little animation where a card is drawn when you select a magi for the first time since playing a card via them

Summary:  Overall really cool!
