I'm a little late, but I made it back. Not quite that astounding 47300, but it's a start. I think I still got some things to learn but I will hit that number and I will crush it. As I said, I'll probably be playing this for hours at many different points. I'm sufficiently hooked now. It's so satisfying when I can get 3 or more at once with one bam. I don't know how to describe how much fun it is to play, so I'll just say it bluntly once. It's so much fun to play.

(One last thing I wanna add, maybe consider making the green bananas have more priority with spawning? I tend to have runs end because I just wasn't lucky enough to get the speed needed to match the keepers, especially the red ones. I probably just haven't found a better tech to overcome this though, so take it with a grain of salt. It's still really fun. Yeah, I said it again. Deal with the compliment.)

This made my day to see people are trying out the updated version! You gave me the motivation I need to keep pressing on with the plans for a V2 update.

I think you’re right that I should prioritize green bananas starting at the third wave. I might also expand the item slots so that after a certain point threshold,  maybe 25k or something, you can get up to 4 green bananas. It was rough balancing out making your throw timer OP in the early part of a run, so I slowed it down overall and had the items degrade over time to make a player be intentional with their throws, but that creates the issue you outlined in the later game where you’re just too slow to keep up. I was just happy to get keyboard controls in! Still kicking myself for not having them there from the start.

To be fair, bl4st got that 47,300 on the VimJam version where your items don’t expire over time (the cool down timer was also shorter overall), so my best guess was he got into a good flow spamming left and right and then hitting bam to keep as many barrel as possible rolling back and forth and the same level before they dropped a level. But he also had to do that with mouse only controls, which is crazy!

Thanks for the great feedback. I’ll use it in the next update. Might be a few weeks though. There are some bigger items I want to work out correctly (full screen html mode and an online leaderboard), and I’ll also be spending a week participating in the Xanderjam. Thanks for playing and leaving a comment!
