I also like the Ren'Py framework better, even though I felt the Twine version was more polished, but that's probably just because of the transitional period. Ren'Py certainly offers more options than Twine and a more immersive experience.

In the end it came to this, as I basically prophesied they disabled the comments on their page (or i got blocked smh). It could even be Bane himself who set up the page to lure more people into his Patreon cash trap. Somebody who disables comments on their youtube videos likely can't be trusted. Here we know the guy can't not know the truth about Bane and his game, after all I as well as others discussed the matter in the comments. I further explained everything in a long and detailed comment you don't have to read:

Now nobody of those who were betrayed as his former patrons can warn newcomers anymore. The problem we face is, his game is still being updated, but only ever so slightly, and his Patreon is not down. (I'm truly wondering why Patreon hasn't removed his account already...) Comparing Blackgate to projects like Project Aego, B101 (most likely abandoned as Hroft32, the artist, is working on Rusty Punk for some reason, unless RP is abandoned too), Dino Nite (probably down), Crescendo (also dead?), Starry Chain (will be missed), Cold:Non-Linear (likely gone), Disguise (cancelled), Stranded (not ceased?), When Stars Fall (please god no!) or other abandoned furry visual novels, you can see they unfortuantely don't really exist anymore, only in name or on Hiatus.

I was hoping you would write more, tell me your thoughts, your point of view. That's what I'm interested in. I basically have almost no supporters in this field. Do you want to add anything perhaps?
"Beyond insane" certainly is one way to phrase it, heh~ It was more or less a simple question, but yes, I really am pissed off by the ignorance/keeping quiet of pretty much all others. On Bane's Patreon we "haters" ganged together and had a great time, lol. (remember, we were the good guys warning those who got scammed)

I'm not sure how long you've been in this community or fandom, however, the reason why I'm not present much at all anymore is this fact for instance. Also, constructive criticism is mostly just ignored, cast away, thrown out the window, or trampled by fanboys. I could even give a very personal example.
