Of course it is a colossal amount of work, it's a translation after all. People expect it to be easy thinking "how hard can it be to just change the language" and even if they finish you end up with something bleak and bland. A proper translation requires not only language skills but also situational approach. You can't translate jokes as they are, you need to adjust them to language background.(The same applies to drubbings and believe me, our polish Shrek rolls over the English version)
I'm not expecting it to take me a day :D
TBH the worst ones to translate are technical manuals because you need to understand the technology the manual describes and you cant loos the meaning during the translation process.
What I am asking for is a chance to prove to you not all translators fail a quest like that.
