Grindiest game I have ever played. Even cheating is grindy (and not too obvious)... How to cheat in this game (v0.1.8):
prep: make sure you are playing on hero mode not normal mode. this gives +50% XP gain. hit T to show the game time and date. hit esc and then the first choice is keybinding. use this when guide calls for keybinding. You need to buy and consume skillbooks. the first time you use a skillbook you gain the skill at level 1. if you already have the skill you will get scaling based on level XP. 80XP if it is level one and 0 XP if it is level 5.
step 1: keybind [CHEAT] skill to number 2. press it. configure quantity to 9999 (it forgets quantity when you switch rooms). afterwards you want to get an auto clicker that presses enter for you a lot. then spam the number 2. or get an autoclicker that spams both 2 and enter. Every time you get 10k copper. you need 200k copper for each skillbook stack purchase (99 copies of the book).
step 2: pass time until saturday. the skillbook merchant appears on the 2nd floor of the brothel between midnight to midnight on saturday so make sure to spend the entire day there. better be early so you do not miss time. As soon as she arrives buy max stacks of each of her skillbooks.
step 3: keybind the current skillbook you are working on to slot 3. Hold down the shift key and spam 3 or get an autoclicker to spam 3 for you while holding down the shift key. Shift key held down will perform quick text, rapidly skipping past the text. the first time you read the book you get the skill at level 1. subsequent uses gives you 80 XP.
step 4: after you are done using them all. you might need to get more money. you definitely will need to get more books.
There are 3 types of XP in the game. battle XP, craft XP, combo XP. combo XP is used by perception skill and is acquired by combining 1 battle + 1 craft = 1 combo... or you can just use the cheat above on the perception skillbook to get 80 XP per. make sure to do it multiple times as you need lots of XP to fully max out the skill. 99 books is NOT enough.
Athletics and black magics are the two skills associated with battle XP. everything else is craft XP. I recommend you leave 1 craft unpursued (cooking?) so you can use it to farm extra craft XP. this is because there are various skills for which the skillbook merchant does not have a skill on sale! the merchant only sells skills which are very difficult or impossible to acquire in game otherwise. there is also sex XP, but you can not cheat with that one
char creation note: pervert flaw is a good thing in my opinion as it makes it easier to grind fetishes (gives an XP bonus to them). Vanilla is misleading. "vaginal sex while kissing with a virgin who has bit tits and big ass for the purpose of procreation" is 6 different fetishes in the game.
willpower and vitality are waste of char creation points.
skills are a waste of char creation points, although the game claims the affect your backstory (so for example if you start with black magic you supposedly went to mage college) so far I have not seen it.
