@Toasting I'd say try developping something in godot! It's free and somewhat easy, you can find a tutorial here https://godot.readthedocs.io/en/3.0/getting_started/step_by_step/your_first_game... and if you prefer videos you can try this series 

As for the 'platform', I think you mean engine? because if you're looking for a platform for your games, itch is one - and a good one at that!
