I think it is a cool concept, but I’m missing a lot of clarity and feedback.

First of all the mix with purely top down objects and a pseudo rpg like 3d world makes it very confusing to see where you can walk and were you can’t. On some walls the player can overlay, but on others and the boxes the players can’t, which feels very odd. The player hitbox is not so clear either because of the same reasons. I kept getting stuck on objects and running into stuff, which isn’t a great gameplay experience.

I liked the atmospheric sound, but was missing some other player feedback (like at least a sound on death). The death and instant reset come way to fast, i would have liked the world to stop for a sec to see where i died (comes together with the ambiguity of the player hitbox)

Also pay attention to the player start position, it’s quite awkward when you spawn and instantly get zapped by a laser if you don’t move.

Thank you for the amazing feedback! Sound design is definitely an area where I lack in my games, so thank you on telling me how to improve!
