Sorry for the late response, I completely missed that people wrote stuff in the community section. >.<
I assume the problem you have is when the game is on a write-protected folder. The game want's to create a new save file, but the system doesn't allow it. Moving the game folder to a location that is not write-protected should solve the problem. Sadly I don't know enough about Macs to say where exactly that would be on that system.
