They are not planned to be a route. I think Carlos was so far in the closet for so many years that he's become good at giving the illusion of straightness (and hence, bi-ness), but ZAGS is about his journey toward accepting himself and really being happy. Dating one of the twins would go against that, and also wouldn't be fair to Leigh.
