Look I'm not gonna lie man, I played this and absolutely dreaded it. I wasn't even sure I was going to upload it because I didn't think it was good, until I watched it back in editing. I don't know why, but you brought out some pent-up anger in me in a way that was actually therapeutic somehow. It's kinda crazy, I know. I'm going to post it here for your enjoyment so don't take it seriously.
That being said, I am going to give you some real criticism if you're willing to read them.Mazes in Horror Games, unless filled to the brim with unique and interesting things happening, are never a good idea.
Walking around waiting for things to happen is something you can find in every Horror game out there, I suggest you step out of that box early because it's completely saturated and there will always be a game that has more budget or does it better.
If anyone has told you that your 'monster' is no good, I would actually disagree with that opinion. I don't think it was utilized correctly because the game gave no context to it's existence; however at the very least it was original and in todays marketplace of like-minded, same-styled, chased-by-a-monster games, that's actually a huge positive and one that I'll commend anyone for.
Lastly, I think your specialty will lie somewhere in the 'slow-burn' style of Horror games. With some extra effort and a willingness to create a detailed environment, or at the very least, a monster with purpose behind it, I believe you can create something amazing.
Somehow it worked out that I played this the day before the sequel came out, so obviously your biggest hater is going to have to play that game too. A part of me is excited to see what you can do though, so I'm hoping you threw some extra oomph in there.
Thanks for making games!
