Because the game was a mess for a long time I lost followers, so I've really had to make sure that each following updates give allot back. I was featured on itch.io front page a few times this year, but it tanked really quickly. I think unfinished games don't do well. But each game is different, and I know I messed up a bunch of updates. So definitely keep your game simple, and see what the best plug ins can do with your rpg maker. There's really allot of power in the newer engines.

You are  probably right that games need to be finished to attract more people but i think there is advantage and disadvantage in both ways?

i have hard time with plugins to be honest , it's really complicated for me.  There is only one out of 6 that i understand a little and other i do not understand at all .. but yes i can see the newest maker has some great things even if i do not understand a lot of it. so yeah i will keep it simple i think..in that matter at least.
