Like the mechanic, it's very simple but can be fun. Really great to've accomplished for your first game! You already got the feedback that ramping up to more challenging things in the levels would appeal to folks once the basic mechanic has been made clear. I'm not sure where else you would've gone with follow-the-leader as a base - out of curiosity, did you have anything in mind if you'd had the time?
Just as a comment for future creations, it might also be good to try to balance out the loudness of the sound effects vs music - could've been something with my settings, but the sounds were quite loud compared to the music (not that this is simple or something I'd expect to be mastered on a jam game ^_^ )
Anyway, fun little game. Cheers! ^_^

Great to see you again and thanks!
Sorry to anyone who got their ears blown out by the sound effects, I had already adjusted the sound settings before building the game but it somehow got reverted to the default and I managed to fix it after the jam has already ended:(
Originally I had the idea of some kind of mechanic splitting the rest of the ants from the leader and rejoining with simple enemies but it ended up being too difficult for me to implement it in that time and I've already wasted too much time on tutorials, it ended up being rushed.
Ahhh man I hate it when stuff like that happens with the sound! I'm glad to know that it was that you'd already tried and it was just having a rebellious streak ^_^
That sounds really interesting! I ran out of time for important elements on my own game so I completely get the constraint, but it sounds like it would've gone in a very interesting direction ^_^ Anyway thanks again!
