Who do I give Journal 4 to!? Where's Great Uncle Ford?!!! xD (and is that Lion from SU I see down there under water?? :D :D :D )

Cute concept, and relaxing music and BEAUTIFUL art!! For me, though, the game felt a little too chaotic. The way the speech bubbles kept popping up and repeating, and the way there were certian areas that seemed unreachable until I accidentally teleported there (under water for instance), it felt like I was just running around seeing what would work instead of really thinking it through.

I feel like this game could benefit from more on screen prompts. Like instead of the speech bubble popping up automatically, maybe have the player press space to talk to them! And if they have something new to say, maybe an exclamation mark could appear over their head :) Maybe there could be a prompt for whether or not you give the present. Like the character says "hey have you found my thing yet?" give *character* the item? Y/N and then the corresponding dialog plays based on if the item is right or wrong. On screen prompts would also help with the ladders/ramps/doors, so the player knows which one to enter!

Adding that little element of organization will bring your game to a whole new level.

Still, well done in getting all this done in 48 hours! Best of luck in the jam!

Thanks for the feedback, and glad you caught some references :)

Organizing the speech bubbles was a big "next todo" item for us and we just didn't get to it... we wanted to keep the controls absolutely minimal so the player could do more exploring instead of constantly interacting, but I don't think the balance was quite right. We also wanted to telegraph the ladders/ramps/secret door more, but making the art was already up to the last minute! So that balance didn't entirely work either. Thanks again for your detailed feedback!!!
