It really makes a difference which one you choose for which purpose.

For (realistic) 3D games, I personally like Unreal Engine 4 (or the Cry Engine),

for 2D Pixelart games, I prefer Game Maker: Studio 1.4 / Game Maker: Studio 2 or Godot,

while Unity is best for example low poly 3D games.

If you want to create an RPG very easy, you should try RPG Maker.

So these are all I know exist and work well.
