You've probably already figured it out by now but just in case, I'll be helpful anyway seeing how as no one else was willing to help. What you're looking for is "Moth Dust". It can be bought from either the witch or Shira after you retrieve Shira's lockbox from the abandon hut when she sends you on an errand for it. I think it cost 25 silver ea. Shira was the woman from the pillory in case you don't remember or know. You can find her in the southwest hut of the village with the wind chimes on it.

If you brought the moth dust with you and it does not give you the option to use the moth dust to poison the nest/ eggs

in the cave where you find Shayla, that means you probably still have to talk to the blood fey in the east to get the event to trigger. She will tell you how to save Shayla (after retreating the 1st time from the battle with Shayla.)

Extra info: Moth Dust can be made into Ritual incense later if you save Shayla. Used to craft witch accessories and equipment. So feel free to buy some extra and put in a stash for later use.

MASSIVE SPOILER WARNING: CURRENT END OF v7.05 - 7.06 : Saving Shayla has some end game changing consequences... In doing so you will gain a 3rd party member (Shayla) & gain the ability to cast spells after you make the new witch stuff in the attunement circle she allows you to use for saving her, but upon trying to pay tribute to the frog statue or donating a troll head to it, you will no longer be able to trade to the witch since you basically will end up destroying her spirit god in doing so... You have enraged the frog spirit god (Basically the witches husband) for defiling its sacred trees with the drops of blood you willingly gave for the Blood fey... Kara was tricked... If only there was another way... Upon defeating the frog spirit god you will forever be locked out of the witch hut area by overgrowth. So unless you can skip the part where you donate blood there is nothing can be done about it if you want Shayla in the party and the ability to cast spells other than healing... I want very badly to be able to get back on the witches good side and explain how Kara was deviously tricked by the Blood Fey but alas, that's how the game ends for now in v7.06. From my perspective, at this point, Shayla still deserves to be rescued, Kara deserves forgiveness from the witch for being tricked, & the Blood Fey or Red Maiden deserves to die. Need a strand of her hair for crafting a blood necklace anyway... That's all. Enjoy the game.

end game ?! i sure hope it does not end there, this game is to good to be finished so quickly i hope ther will be scenes with the red maiden, like if you turn to the witch again you defeat the red maiden then you can choose to kill her or to give her to the pigmies or bandits or something like that

P.S. i hope more raping scenes with kara are coming up... and sorry for my bad english
Thanks again

Sincerely, predator36

Sorry, I'll correct that. My mistake. I meant end game for the current version... The further story hasn't been written yet by the developers as far as I know. They leave us with a cliffhanger saying that the current version ends there until future updates. So not the final definitive end. Not really. Besides, it just started to get good. There is sure to be more to come as long as the devs stick with the game... And your English is fine. I should be the one apologizing for not being able to speak much other than English. If only the schools would teach us sooner in life... :

I don't mind the spoilers though. But hmm. It makes me think if I should free her or not at the cost of free heals and some easy but pricey pots.

If you were looking for a reply... I'm sorry, I did see the post some time ago but was uncertain of how to respond at the time because this seems more like a personal contemplation rather than a question. Not only that but it's been a long time since I've played and was going through some personal drama at the time. Sorry...
But IF you'd like my advice if you haven't done so already... It's definitely worth saving her. I highly recommend it. At least for now... Still not sure how much the game and story will change for doing so. Probably best to keep 2 save files following separate story lines if it splits off forever...
She is a very powerful ally once brought up and well worth the resources it requires to free her. Not to mention the things she can do for Kara with the spell crafting can make her a very powerful ally indeed. After I got her in the party it made many of the battles a breeze ^_^

Thanks! It's actually bit of both. I guess it depends on how the devs would balance the advantages and the perceived morality on this. And yes, probably ask for forgiveness.

but how should I use  dust to not kill Shaila?

Sorry... it's been quite some time since I've last played this game... but if nothing  has changed since then... After you get the moth dust and talk to the blood fey to trigger the event...

"There will be a room on the left of the cave where you find Shayla that you can (insert it into the nest...) it's before the boss room. Do not enter where Shayla is until you've poisoned the nest with it. Then kill all the bugs that come out of her if I remember correctly..."

Sorry... tried to state all the details at the time of writing that quite a while ago... my b. Hope you get it figured out. Feel free to post some screen shots and advice or corrections to help others who have the same issue. I'm sure it will help everyone that plays this great game in the long run...
When I get back around to it I'll have to correct any mistakes I made if I go through that part of the game again... but don't hold me up to it or rely on it lol... it might be quite some time... I've kinda fallen out of game since then for the time being... This is still on my to support list though.

Anyway, hope this helps... Have fun! ^_^
