Never mind I figured it out - would be good to get a quick explanation at the start. Love the game though! Super cute and fun. I don't really understand how it works. The cats keep disappearing and I don't know why. But still, very cool game.

This is the equivalent of curling up in bed with a good book. It's so cozy and warm feeling without the stress of any goal or task. Really cute little game. I'd love to see more added to this (like making and covering streams), but this was a an absolute joy to play.

E.g. walls, stacking buildings on each other or even more islands (better if randomly generated).
These functions would satisfy the people who play this game including me but most importantly make the game replay able and would even make you proud of your work, well done :)

Hey that was really charming. It was great as is, but it was so fun I wanted more. Larger map, biomes, different crops... Also, I couldn't tell what happiness affected.
Glad you enjoyed it! It is just a pico-8 game, so the tiny size of it all was a given. Though since many more people like it than I ever thought, I might work on a "proper" version of it at some point! :)
Happiness affects if peeple join or leave the village! Should've made this clearer, you're right.
nice, but windmills need to stack the effect of auto harvest crops, once you get 20+ people you start to have to manually harvest often or they run out of food
