Hello, We're sorry to hear about the crashing error. Were there any gray screens when the crash happened? If not, you could play the game on Steam instead since it will make sure all files will be downloaded as it's inevitable to encounter errors caused by missing files in the download. We have programmed the game on to carry over the data you had on your non-Steam copy such as read text and achievements so you can skip the text you have already read on your previous playthroughs with the Skip button. If some still could not be skipped, select the "All" option under the Skip tab in the Settings menu of the game to be able the text the Steam thinks you haven't read.
