Since I know the Tarot of Marseilles a little bit I expected personalities to be like the original arcanes but it lead to something different and interesting. The dialogs are the essence of the game and it fit well the settings. (world) I don't think this game needed any sound since arcane cards have something particular.

The graphics were quite unique due to the hand drawn art style.

The end was well designed (no spoil!) and even though it was clear sentences thought by one person (the dev) it was still leaving some room for the player to interpret it as he wants, at least that's how I interpreted it. "FIN!" :P

I absolutely love everything about arcanes cards (Especially the Tarrot of Marseille) and that kind of stuff but since I'm on Linux when I tried running the game with Wine the GUI was not displaying at all :/

How far did you get into the game? It should be noted that some users told me that they were confused by the game's wordless and buttonless start screen. If that is not the issue here and there is a major issue with Wine compatibility, I may create and upload a Linux build (though I will not be able to test it).

I couldn't start at all! ^^' (maybe because of the GUI or because I overlooked something)

So if I understand what you say maybe it's not Wine compatibility (not sure  though!) and in that case a little bit more instructions would help!

If you are on Unity sometimes it happens the videos no longer work (if you have some) on export but everything should work just fine otherwise.

If there is no issue, starting the game works like so: launch the application, then hold space when the white screen with the rotating sun and red ring appears. Holding space for a second or two will begin the game.

However, if the described screen does not appear or if pressing space does nothing, then there is certainly a bug.

Yeah I figured it out before, maybe you should add a label "Hold Space bar key to start" or something since it's isn't necessarily obvious. (especially for accessibility)

I got it to work now I was just confused about how to play since I have an AZERTY keyboard. So there was no bug at all! ^^

That's interesting one.I like the artstyle of the map, dialogues are well written. If you have polished it a bit more with some sounds and feedback to the player and improved the topdown shooter thing it'll be a solid position. Also - there is plenty of place on the screen - you could easily put some healthbar UI without a need for small indicator on the player which is hard to see ^_^

Wow! From the first moment I saw game screenshot I knew this will be right down my alley. And it was. Loved all the conversations! Well done! While I would welcome some sounds in game, I also understand that it might have been hard to pick music that would fit overall aesthetic of the game...

Developer

Thank you for playing; I'm very glad you enjoyed it. I'm not very good with sound so I chose to pour my development time into other areas, but I may update this game in the future and if I do I will be sure to add sound.
