This works really nicely as an interactive gizmo for the pancake problem, and I looove interactive gizmos. I think it'd need a couple extra touches to help appreciate pancake numbers as upper bounds, like showing the known pancake number for the given stack size, and letting you reshuffle the stack exactly the same way so you could try to do it again in fewer flips. Had fun playing with it for a bit though :)
