If the game's broken, us@innersloth.com (listed on itch.io contact page) or support@innersloth.com (listed in several recent sets of patch notes) are the appropriate contact to get the devs to help. If they can't (or won't) help, move on to support@itch.io to get a refund.

When I had to contact the devs about the removal of support for the itch.io version (which I can't replace with a Steam key because Steam is a health risk that Valve has been refusing to fix for well over a year and a half now), they were very polite and friendly about it, but couldn't promise to restore support or suggest a timeframe in which they might do so. Once I had burned out that option, I forwarded the mail to itch.io support along with my refund request and they gave my money back without trouble.

Hopefully the devs can actually fix your issue though...
