I don't know if it's just in the demo, but the menu completely broke. The cancel button doesn't work. It stopped working so I closed the game and reloaded, the menu opened on its own and I couldn't get out of it. So I closed the game again, then I couldn't open the menu. So I closed the game again, and the menu opened on its own and I couldn't exit it.
This pattern is repeating.

I figured out what was happening. Whenever I play RPGMaker games, I play with just my left hand because numpad 0 works as a cancel button and numpad enter as the confirm button. This works fine in both MZ and MV games, but for some reason, it breaks in VX Ace games. The X key still works as the cancel button fine. This was happening in the Phantom Thief demo as well.


The weird thing is that numpad enter still works as the confirm button all the time, and the numpad 0 worked for a bit at first and then only X worked.

one thing that bugs me about mv is that despite mapping gamepad buttons to the same keys, the thing that detects those keys dont detect the gamepad... so i cant have pad support for sylphy

I want to come back to this issue, because now, every now and then even the X key doesn’t work. This happens in other games of yours.

After I bought the game, it started randomly pausing and neither X nor numpad0 work to exit it again, it makes the game unplayable.

does numlock prevent it happening?
