Logs during catalog operation

Can you add logs during catalog so i know the program is actually doing something?

Currently I am running catalog for so long (2+ hours), with no output nor error log I didn't know what its doing.

Many thanks

Hi there,

Jav-It does currently output logs for each title that it catalogs. Do you have the exact command that you used to catalog your videos with, as well as the exact output that you are receiving? Without more details, it will be hard to troubleshoot. Let me know once you do, and I'd be happy to try and help you! (^_^);

Edit: Just off the top of my head (If your using Windows) the command-line display sometimes freezes or fails to update. It seems to be just a Windows querk that occurs when having text that needs to be automatically scrolled. If you push any key on your keyboard (ie. "Return", etc), you can wake up Windows to keep updating the command-line display.

I do see logs when i am processing only 1 video, that's weird

My command is jav-it.exe catalog /d "K:\temp storage"

And only output was

2021/05/12 11:22:20 [INFO] Now processing all videos in the directory 'K:\temp storage'...

I do know the press Enter thing for Win terminal though but that don't work as well

I resolve this issue myself, looks like its the file move operation being stuck on disk and requires a replug (I am using an external drive)

Many thanks for your help!

Ah! That would resolve it. If Windows is being silly and not returning valid disk-access calls, then yes, all programs which try to access that disk will experience lag waiting for a response. Nothing you can do about it really.
