There is a back button, currently bound to the back button on Android and mouse wheel on PC's. A physical button is on the list to do, but isn't an immediate priority. We'll add a slider for skip speed to the list as well, but again, may be a small wait. As for routes other than those currently planned, we'd like to... We'll see how things go!
