I think it would work. But there is a Mac build. Maybe try that first?
i tried, and its one version higher.. i have 10.11.6 and its 10.12.. so unfortunately i can't play it on Mac, i will now try on Wine
that didn't work... it keeps saying "There is a deficiency of wine" or something like that..
Do you know any other way to play this on El Capitan?
Not really sadly... I thought wine would work.
