That is definitely weird. Can you try Proton on Steam with the Windows version? That should work.

I know the native Linux version needs some tinkering around for some versions of Linux, but I'm really not well-versed with that.

From 0.7.0 onwards I added an AI translation for Chinese to the game. Hopefully someone helps me localize the game properly.

Usually, translations lag behind the latest content. So you have to switch back to English when this happens.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but the chess puzzle has to be solved accordingly to the poem (and not by checking the king). This was a deliberate choice since we couldn't assume the player knows how to play chess.

Thank you for trying this out. Since now I know your specs, I suspect it's the lighting system that is unable to run on your GPU. Can you try this one last time to see if it fixes the issue? It will disable lighting in the game, and it will be bright and hurt the atmosphere of the game, but for me, this would be a great help, since in the future, I could identify what the problem is. If so, please replace the plugins.js file in the js folder with this one:
