Contact support. When checking support page for itch.io they give the email address us@innersloth.com as a support contact but recent messages from the company have suggested to use support@innersloth.com - I emailed the first address 5 days ago and the second one yesterday, haven't heard back from either yet.
Worst-case, if they don't reply in a week or so, contact itch.io support about the issue, and mention that the company isn't responding to your emails. But do give them a bit of time. This update has (obviously) not gone smoothly so they're going to have a lot of emails to work through.
