The current version is a bit too hard to start out. And birds/sharks are more annoying than challenging for many people. So in the new version, birds and sharks will attack less frequently but with more quantity.
In the currently version you can actually press on the drowning person to pull it out of water. But the pulling animation may be a bit misleading.
We add a big crate in the next update.But crate management will be a more complicated part, which we plan to add it later.
Making fighting the most priority action sounds necessary, we have planned to add this
As for the suggestions, you guess right. We really planned to add character leveling, technology tree, sailing. We haven't thought about the bore system, but that sounds like a cool idea to try.
