Does this happen with any other apps or games? I was looking around and didn't find much help. Maybe need to update Java??

I also looked around before asking you and didn't find anything. This has happened to me twice before: once while trying to run a different game made for the Mac (which I also downloaded through itch.io), and once while trying to run a .exe file with Wine. I'll look up how to update Java on a Mac and then do so tomorrow.
