I have made a mithril sword but I can't figure out who to get the other upgraded tools. or even what to do with the red slimes and I have Avevia's stove but not her.
[spoilers] You probably need the fish trap then. Two cloth and two sticks if I recall. Try fishing with various seeds. Good luck!
